 Changshu   Experimental   Branch School  was  founded   in  the autumn  of 1998  As the  early  section of  Changshu  Experimental  School, it carried  out  the  same  management as  exchanging  teachers , sharing educational  resources  and  creating  its  own  teaching  style . With the development  of  educational  undertaking, it enjoyed the self—right of  teaching and  management , directly  under the Educational  Committee  of  Changshu in  2004.
    At  present , the school  lies  at  No. 80 of  Hengshan  Road in the northeast  of  the city  of   Changshu .The  school covers a  ground area  of 13207  sq  meters  and  employs  125  full—time  staff  members.  Now there  are  2443  students (including  775  Kindergarten  children ) , divided into 53 classes  (including 18 of Kindergarten ).
   The school  has  inherited  the traditions of the century—old school  and  aims  to  display  teachers  spirit , to practise strict management to have its own characteristics  and to be top—ranking . The school spares no effort  to carry out the  five strategies-----to  build  it  up  with moral education, to strengthen it  by highly—educated personnel , to construct it with  distinguishing  characteristics ,to grow and flourish by scientific  research  and to run it all according to law . The school also carries forward  three projects , such as  Re—education ,Art Education and Quality---oriented Education .
    The school  now has  3 educational and scientific research leaders , 16 course Leaders has carried out several provincial task researches or of higher Level ,and the teaching  style  of  Art  Education is becoming more  and more  successful . We  have formed  the groups  of
Artistic  characteristics  , such as Zheng Group , Pipa Group ,Violin  Group ,Erhu Group, Dizi Group , Daneing Group , Calligraphy Group , Group , Drawing  Group and etc .Great  Success has been achieved in Various  extra  curricular  activities , e.g. the students  have  won Gold medal during the second  “ Xinmiao Cup ’’ dance  performances  for  all  the excellent  children  in China , the first place  in the competition of  ensemble of  traditional  instruments  in  Suzhou, the first prize in each of the two theatrical festival of the primary school students  of  Changshu  .The groups of kinds of instruments  and  Dancing Group often  appears  on CCTV , JSTV and CSTV  and have been well received  by the public .
